Murieston 1 Hibs  6

Hibs got back to winning ways with a good all-round performance with Natalie Ross and Lisa-Marie Boyd pulling the strings in midfield. Natalie scored a hat-trick with Sammy Hare (1) and Chelsea Bate (2) the other scorers. Hayley Lauder scored Murieston's counter.

Hibs travelled to Baillieston for the first time for what on paper was potentially an exciting game. The match started with end to end football, the game living up to expectations until the referee decided that he was going to be the centre of attraction........

Paisley Saints   3  Hibs Girls 2 

Hibs Girls lost their unbeaten record and crashed out of Scottish Cup after going 2 ahead in the first 7 minutes. After taking a 2 goal lead the girls switched off and let their opponents back into the game by conceding 3 goals before half-time. Hibs fought to get back into the game in the second half but on this occasion it was Paisley Saints who were first to the ball and won the majority of the 50:50's battling to a deserved victory. Hibs Girls wish them well for the remainder of the competition.

SIX HIBS GIRLS NAMED IN SCOTLAND SQUAD FOR GAME AGAINST WALES

 

6 Hibs Girls have been called up to the 18-strong Scotland U17 squad to meet Wales in Wales on Wednesday 09 March. Well done to Defender Kayley Ralton (above left), Goalkeeper Corrie Davidson (above middle),  Midfield Trio Lisa-Marie Boyd (above right), Natalie Ross (below left), Kerry Montgomery (below middle) and Striker Sammi Hare Below right) on their inclusion. Kayley, Lisa-Marie, Kerry and Sammi played against Wales in May last year when the Scots won 3-0 at Almondvale and will be hoping for more of the same this time.

Kilmarnock U17  0  Hibs Girls U17  1

Hibs battled to victory against stuffy opponents Kilmarnock to keep their 100% record intact. Hibs missed several good chances in the first half before dominating the second half leaving it late to bag all 3 points when Sammi Hare scored in the dying minutes of the game. Kilmarnock defended well and will consider themselves unlucky not to have held out to the final whistle.

With Hibs girls league game off due to Paisley Saints sponsored walk a friendly was played against Troon Ladies from the Scottish Womens Football League Division 3. Hibs Girls came out well on top with a gulf in class evident between the two teams. Both teams were however grateful for the run out.

Hibs girls put up a good performance in this tester against senior premier league opponents running them close for the first hour and at times dominated the game. The girls tired in the last 30 minutes and conceded two late goals against physically stronger opposition.

Hibs travelled to Kilwinning and played an inexperienced Kilwinning side. One of the pluses from this game was the Kilwinning Girls despite the score line appeared to enjoy the game and showed a good spirit throughout.

Congratulations to Hibs Trio from left above - Lisa Marie Boyd, Sammi Hare and Kayley Ralton for their inclusion in the U17 Scotland squad who leave for Boca Raton, Florida, USA on Sunday 21 November for three matches on Mon 22 Wed 24 against American Regional teams and Fri 26 November against the USA national team. Hard luck to Natilie Ross (left) who was unlucky to be left out of the final squad after a good performance in the U17 v U19 game which finished 2-2. Natalie your time will definitely come with 2 years ahead of you at U17 well done in breaking into contention at such an early age.

Hibs travelled to Hamilton and won all 3 points thanks to goals from Sammi Hare, Kayley Ralton, Cheryl Edgar, Trisha McLaughlin and Lisa Marie Boyd. Corrie Davidson kept her 100% clean sheet record. Hamilton fought bravely in the first half keeping the score 0-0 but Hibs were dominant in the second half.

Hibs Girls under 17 Kayley Ralton played the final twenty minutes of the match to experience her first taste of international football at under 19 level.

Congratulations to 16 year old Hibs Girls U17 captain and U17 Scotland International Kayley Ralton  who has been selected for the U19 Scotland squad. Kayley is off to Ireland on Thursday for a warm up game for the European Championship qualifiers in Moldova.

Hibs Girls Lisa-Marie Boyd, Kayley Ralton and new Hibs signings Kerry Montgomery and goalkeeper Corrie Davidson have been included in the 16 strong Girls Clubs of Scotland squad and travel to Bangor in Northern Ireland on the 2nd August for games against the hosts and Wales.
