Scotland Under 17’s
girls will meet England in the final of the Six
Nations Tournament in Bristol by earning a 1-1
draw against a strong USA team yesterday at
Clevedon Town Stadium.
The Scots had
previously beaten Northern Ireland 4-0 at Forest
Green Rovers on Monday.
Scotland now
face England who reached the final of the
competition by beating Holland 1-0 in their
final group match.
The Final kicks off
at 3pm on Friday 14th April at Gloucester City
in Bristol. Coach Tony Gervaise commented on
their achievement so far:
‘I am
delighted with the squad’s achievements so far,
it is a very young squad, most of them have
recently moved up the ranks from the Under 15’s.
Their success in this tournament highlights the
high quality of football players that are
progressing through the ranks. Tournaments like
these give them the opportunity and experience
they need to develop their skills by playing
against some of the best players at this age
level. We look forward with anticipation to the
Scotland v England final
tomorrow’.
