Hibs Girls U15 4                      EOSPDS U15              4

Following an encouraging period of attacking play by Hibs, three defensive errors allowed the EOSPDS to gain a commanding lead in the first 25 minutes.  A blistering solo run up the left wing from a deep defensive position saw Charlotte score the first goal for the home team, which provided the spur Hibs Girls needed.  This was swiftly followed by a second from Laura S to leave the score 2 : 3 at half time.

After a few positional changes the second half again started brightly for Hibs Girls but they still went a further goal behind.  Further sustained pressure on the EOSPDS goal produced a shot from Marielle that hit the cross bar, before Laura S scored her second inside the last 10 minutes of the game.  From here to the finish relentless pressure ensued with numerous shots being saved by the EOSPDS goalie.  Within a couple of minutes of the final whistle Gillian took the ball from outside the penalty area to shoot and score from 5 yards to bring the score level again.

The coach’s Players of the match were Charlotte for her spectacular solo run and Rebekah for her tackling.  A fine display of battling play by the whole team produced a hard fought draw.  A special mention must be made of Laura C and Bryony for their willingness to keep goal for a half each.
