Following an encouraging
period of attacking play by Hibs, three defensive errors allowed the EOSPDS to
gain a commanding lead in the first 25 minutes.

After a few positional changes the second half again started brightly for Hibs Girls but they still went a further goal behind. Further sustained pressure on the EOSPDS goal produced a shot from Marielle that hit the cross bar, before Laura S scored her second inside the last 10 minutes of the game. From here to the finish relentless pressure ensued with numerous shots being saved by the EOSPDS goalie. Within a couple of minutes of the final whistle Gillian took the ball from outside the penalty area to shoot and score from 5 yards to bring the score level again.
