Hibs U 15s Girls 2 : Paisley U 15s Girls 1:
Played at St Augustines,
A dry
but windy Saturday saw Hibs U15 Girls take on Paisley Saints in the Scottish
Cup.
There
was a sluggish start by both teams with most of the play concentrated in the
middle of the park. Hibs seemed a
bit more committed than their opponents however and created a number of chances
with probing runs through the middle and on the flanks.
It was
no great surprise when Emma opened the scoring with a low shot past the keeper
after being put through by
This

Rebekah
and Melia in the Hibs defence were dealing effectively with the Paisley attack.
There was not much they could do about the Paisley equaliser that came
from a looping shot from Emma Deacon on 33 minutes.
Hibs
countered but despite forcing three corners before halftime were not able to
regain the advantage.
Hibs
were quickly on the attack in the second half. There was a good run from Danni
on the left wing and Bryoni was unlucky with a shot that went just over the bar.
At the
other end Bryoni just missed after a great run from Emma on the left.
Hibs
finally got what they deserved when Gemma bundled the ball over the line after a
four pass move from the centre of the park involving Rosie, Gillian, Emma and
Gemma.
