Hibs Girls played hosts to Arsenal in the league. The day started badly when the referee failed to show. After discussions between the officials from both teams it was agreed that the game would go ahead with Arsenal coach Stuart Aitchison taking the referees whistle and what a good decision that was as young Stuart had a tremendous game. I for one didn't disagree with a single call he made. The girls from both teams did help by playing the game exactly how it should be played with determination and fight, hard but fair, well done to both sets of players who all worked their socks off. On the playing front Hibs did have the upper hand, however it takes goals to win games and Arsenal worked just as hard not to concede a goal as Hibs did trying to pop one away which resulted in an enjoyable game to watch. Hibs and Arsenal can both take credit from the game and having watched both teams play each other way back on day one of this season it is fair to say that both have improved immensely and that has to be the most important thing.
