Hibs Girls travelled to Bo'ness Ladies for a friendly against senior opposition. Bo'ness currently play their football in the Scottish 2nd Division. Hibs started strongly and went one up in their first attack of the game with Tricia McLaughlin knocking the ball over the line. Hibs increased their lead when Wendy Toon slotted home from the wide left position. Wendy Toon then scored her second after good work down the right was played into to Laura Kinghorn who turned her marker brilliantly before slotting a pass into Wendy Toon's stride the latter making no mistake with a well hit drive to the keepers left. Kayley Ralton then picked up the ball in her own half and drove with pace at the Bo'ness defence passing four players before finishing powerfully into the top left hand corner of the net. Wendy Toon then scored direct from a free-kick to complete her hat-trick. Bo'ness then scored a late consolation from a well taken free-kick. This was a good game to watch with some nice football played by both sides. Hibs full squad contributed much to the performance and the girls can be pleased with the way they played. The game was played in good spirit by both teams and although Bo'ness were over run at times during the game they continued to play football to the end. Hibs Girls would like to thank Bo'ness Ladies for their hospitality. |
