GIRLS Hibs Girls played hosts to Falkirk and endured the worst possible start when in the 3rd minute a Falkirk corner was cleared by Laura Buchanan only to land at the feet of a Falkirk player who drilled the ball home to put Falkirk 1-0 ahead. Falkirk were the stronger team in the first half and this paid dividends when awarded a dubious free-kick about 30 yards from goal. The Falkirk centre half placed the ball before smashing a great free-kick high into the Hibs net to double their advantage. Louise Kedslie in the Hibs goal could do nothing about that one. Hibs emerged from the half time team talk a different side and dominated the majority of the second period, limiting Falkirk to the odd break away where Falkirk's Alana Marshall always looked dangerous however Falkirk found they were up against Nuala Deans having a fine match at sweeper and Louise Kedslie pulling off a couple of good saves. Hibs never quite got the draw that perhaps their pressure deserved with their only counter coming from a Tricia McLaughlin shot midway through the half, Falkirk however managed to hold on to take all three points. This was a much improved display by Hibs in comparison to when the two sides met earlier in the season and the girls can be encouraged by their performances in the last two games.
