Hibs Girls travelled to Paisley for the first league encounter between these two teams. A sticky tight pitch prevented much in the way of free flowing football. Hibs took the lead 3 minutes into the second half when Cheryl Edgar passed the ball wide into the path of Tricia McLaughlin who cut the ball back from the bye line for Claire Weir to shoot first time past Kate Lagan in the Paisley goal. Hibs however didn't hold onto their lead for long, only three minutes later Hibs conceded a needless foul wide left. The resulting free-kick taken by Jennifer Davies evaded everyone and nestled in the back of the net. Hibs had to wait until the penultimate minute of regulation time for the winner and what a beauty it was, Tammi Kerr went up for a corner and attacked the ball crashing it on the volley into the Paisley net. The referee then added six minutes of injury time on quite why only he will know and during that spell Louise Kedslie made sure Hibs would leave with all three points with a magnificent save when she dived to her left to stop a goal-bound shot from crossing the line.
