WEST CUP |
Hibs Girls struggled to field a team for the West cup against the other 5 top league teams, with Kayley Ralton and Nuala Deans on International duty, missing the first two games and Claire Crosbie out with a fractured arm sustained in the International against Holland. To add to Hibs woe Kirsty Reilly was unwell and Laura Buchanan was carrying an injury leaving only 9 fit players. Despite this Hibs ended up credible runners up. Hibs won against Kilmarnock in the 1st game. Due to poor organisation, then played 4 games back to back, winning the first 3. The final game against a fresh Cumbernauld Cosmos who prior to meeting Hibs had only played 2 games and having had the luxury of a lengthy break ran out 3-0 winners against a tired Hibs to lift the trophy. Well done Hibs for a sterling effort and Well done to Cosmos for lifting the trophy. |

| Girls, Danni Pagliarulo, Claire Crosbie, Joelle Murray, Diana Barry & Steph Allison, this was an excellent result for the U15's considering it was the first time they had played together and was certainly a sprightly start from the youngsters. Crosbie, who is from Edinburgh, Scotland, is one of seven freshmen recruits signed recently by Rocky coach Richard Duffy. "She's actually a national champion badminton player," Duffy said of Crosbie.
