STEP UP
Hibs U17 coaches Vic
Toon, Carson Ralton and Walter McGill have
taken the opportunity to step up to the SCOTTISH WOMEN’S PREMIER
LEAGUE to Whitehill Welfare Ladies FC. In addition to this
move the club will compete in the 2006–2007 season
under the new name of Edinburgh Ladies
Football Club (ELFC) |

ELFC have already
signed new players with Premiership experience for the next campaign
including Debbie McWhinnie and Diana Barry. Last season’s Central
League’s u17’s stars Molly McKean, Sarah Archibald, Lorna
Brownlie and Danielle Weir will provide a blend of youth and
experience to a team that has retained many of last years squad that
finished the campaign in mid-table.
Carson Ralton believes that the
new regime will provide the ideal platform to challenge for a top
place in the Premiership “We are all looking forward to the season
with new coaches assisting team manager Kirsty McKay. |

Girls crowned a glorious week
in Gothenburg by reaching the final of
their 80 team section in the World Youth Gothia Cup Tournament.
The
girls played some outstanding football as they won through their
qualifying
stages against top
teams from
Sweden
,
USA
, and
Iceland
with only one own goal against them.......Read more

Hibs and Kilmarnock held a training game at Edinburgh Academy
which unfortunately had to be abandoned due to torrential rain. Ah
summer football. Hibs wish Kilmarnock success at the Gothia Cup.

to Kilmarnock for a friendly game. The two Scottish teams are both participating in
the Gothia Cup in Sweden in July.

to the game League Chairman John Quinn presented the league
championship trophy to Hibs captain Nuala Deans (pictured top left).
Hibs
were without Diane Fyfe, Kim Little, Natalie Ross, Emma McCulley and
Claire Weir and played Goalkeeper Corrie Davidson (left) as a
striker. Corrie rose to the challenge scoring Hibs first two goals,
Danielle Weir, Kaydee Low and Kayley Ralton added to Hibs
tally.
Hibs
and Kilmarnock will take part in a training game at Edinburgh
Academy next week to keep both sets of players ticking over before
heading for Sweden. Click

Hibs Girls won the league title
for an incredible fifth time in six years. With there being no time
this season for a league cup competition Hibs won all the silverware
on offer in another successful season.

were shorthanded today without the injured Natalie Ross, Sarah
Archibald still not fully recovered from injury and Arlene
Livingston limping out at half-time, with Susan Blyth ill before the
game and unable to play. Kim Little led the Hibs charge
bagging four goals in the process of a virtuoso performance. Emma
McCulley was involved in a lot of good Hibs moves as was Sarah
Archibald despite not being fully fit, Claire and Danielle Weir also
having good games with Claire slotting in to an unfamiliar central
midfield slot. Other scorers for Hibs were Kaydee Low 2, Sarah
Archibald and Emma McCulley.

GIRLS WIN TWO NATIONAL
FINALS
The
Scottish Cup Finals took place at Forthbank Stadium in Stirling on
the 07 May 2006. Hibs Girls were represented in both the U13 and U17
finals with Hibs U13 's beating Paisley Saints 5-3 in an exciting
match. Hibs U17's won their final against Dundee West by 7 goals to
2 with two goals each from Natalie Ross and Kim Little and one each
for Kaydee Low, Sarah Archibald and Claire Weir. The U15's final was won by Aberdeen who beat Hamilton 4-2.

2006 Scotland U17's Meet England in Final |

Hibs Kim Little (left)
and Kaydee Low both scored in the 4-0 win over Northern Ireland. Kim
said "It's the first time we have played together and I am very proud
with the performance. It was absolutely brilliant to captain my
country." Kaydee described her stunning 20-yard volley as
'the best goal I have ever scored' and smiled: "It was a
peach.We did everything we could today and it was a really
good win."

girls met Whitburn in the league at Edinburgh Academy. With 6 under
17's missing, Nuala Deans, Kim Little and Kaydee Low on
International duty, Arlene Livingston unavailable, Diane Fyfe
injured and Susan Blyth on holiday Hibs used the opportunity to
bring in five under 15's Gillian Perry, Rebekah Moore, Laura Smith,
Gemma Robb and Bryony Ross who all acquitted themselves very well.

Hibs
met Forfar at St Marks Park and recorded a comfortable win, which
sees them safely through to the Semi-Final stage. Goals from Ali
McCaig, Kim Little Natalie Ross a hatrick from the excellent Emma McCulley
and a double from Kaydee Low set Hibs on their way to the next stage of the competition where
they will meet Stonehaven or Huchison Vale.

Hibs
entertained Kilmarnock in the league having won 5-1 earlier in the month
in the Scottish Cup. This time Hibs were without the injured Sarah
Archibald, unavailable Arlene Livingston and suspended Claire Weir. With 2
goals apiece from Kaydee Low, Kim Little and Emma McCulley Hibs ran out
6-2 winners, in a day of doubles Danica Dalziel scored both Kilmarnock's
counters.

HIBS GIRL NATALIE ROSS
CALLED UP TO SCOTLAND U19'S |
Well done
to Natalie Ross (left) who has been included in the Scotland
Women's Under 19s to play a double header in Finland later this
month to prepare for their forthcoming UEFA 2nd qualifying section
in Slovenia in April. Their first match is against Finland’s Under
20 team who have qualified for the FIFA Women's World Championships
on Wednesday 29 March and Finland Under 19s on Friday 31 March, both
at the Eerikkila Sports Institute. The squad includes ex-Hibs Girls
Kayley Ralton, Kerry Montgomery and Sammy Hare. Only two changes
were made from the squad who played in the 1st qualifying stage in
England with Claire Tait and Danica Dalziel being replaced by Leslie
Condie and ex Hibs Girl Tammi Kerr. |

Hibs
met a plucky Falkirk side in the league and won the points with a
goal from Natalie Ross in the first half and one in the second half
from Claire Mooney. Falkirk defended bravely and their work rate is
to be commended. This is a young Falkirk side who will do well next
season with the majority of their players able to go again at U17
level.

Hibs Girls
5 Kilmarnock 1
Hibs progressed to
the Scottish Cup Quarter Final by beating Kilmarnock by 5 goals to 1
after a good show from all 14 players involved. Hibs started
strongly and despite missing a few chances found themselves 3-0
ahead thanks to goals from Emma McCulley, Kaydee Low and Sarah
Archibald, Killie pulled one back before half-time but Hibs
increased their lead with a double from Kim Little in the second
half.
