| Scotland are hosting, for the first time, an International tournament for School Girls football thanks to sponsorship from The City of Edinburgh Council, co-funded by the the Department of Education and the Department of Culture and Leisure. This tournament will be the final under 15's school girls event organised by the Scottish Schools Football Association. Girls Under 15 football will then be brought under the care of the Scottish Football Association to compliment the SFA's current under 17 and under 19 programme reflecting the massive rise in the popularity of football among girls and the ever increasing production of talented players. |
